Named Nelavanka (Telugu for crescent moon), the 1,550 sq ft residence is organised around Studio KE's SLOW philosophy: sustainable, local, organic, and whole. The geometric rhythm of the moon's phases shapes lines, forms, and embellishments throughout the home — from an eclipsed moon mirror in the foyer to subtle abstractions in furniture and lighting.

The living room makes a deliberate statement: there is no television. The intent is to reduce screen time and encourage off-screen conversation — a design choice that feels increasingly relevant for Indian families seeking more mindful homes.

Living, dining, and open kitchen zones are separated by a retractable screen that tucks behind wood panelling when not needed, offering privacy without sacrificing openness. The open kitchen continues a black-and-white scheme, with texture and warmth introduced through wood shutters, open shelves, and fluted panelling.
